In our Congolese societies, the notion of “menstrual rule” remains a taboo subject to talk about within the family or between close friends. This makes the Congolese girl remain silent and evolve in a blatant ignorance during all her feminine development whatever the pains she endures during her menstrual periods and unable to break this silence.
The more she grows up in this ignorance and shame, the more certain diseases develop in her reproductive system and are able to break her entire femininity.
This is why the Non Governmental Organization “SANG TABOU Asbl” has resolved, since July 2022, with its financial means, to launch itself in this battle of awareness campaigns of the Congolese girl/woman in order to break this guilty silence.

To do this, the NGO Sang Tabou has the obligation to train blood taboo ambassadors whose mission will be to sensitize the population on the existence of certain diseases that are often ignored and which people living with have difficulty communicating given their intimate nature.

This training aimed to strengthen the capacity of the targeted candidates through the trainers (expert in communications, international relations, health).
In order to carry out this activity, the NGO Sang Tabou had selected 10 volunteer candidates with different profiles and a minimum school level of a state diploma.
